1975 Meals to Heal (Donation)
April 30, 1975 was significant by marking the new beginning for many Vietnamese families… Kemeno Group chose to partake in this initiative because the owners are 1st generation Vietnamese Americans. They are proud to be where they are and wanted to honor those who’ve sacrificed for them to be here.
To commemorate this occasion, on April 30, 2020 we were part of a national initiative to provide 1975 meals to FRONTLINE WORKERS and those vulnerable throughout DFW. 7 Leaves Cafe and The Halal Guys in Dallas Fort-Worth has collaborated with Hand-in-Hand Share Missions, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church St. Thomas’ Teen and Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Youth Ministry to join forces with their friends from Nailing it for Health Care Workers, Love 2 Yeu and all the volunteers across Orange County, Los Angeles, Boston, New Hampshire, and New York City to serve 1975 meals in each city today.
The mission of this project is to deliver 1975 meals to local community heroes (essential workers) and those vulnerable on April 30th to honor their parents, families, and Vietnamese culture.
